The Association was formed in 1987 to promote the welfare of Rhodesian Ridgebacks, encourage responsible and enjoyable ownership, formulate an educated specialist judging list and encourage and educate interested all-rounders. Primarily the SRRA was formed to serve Rhodesian Ridgeback owners in the southern half of England.
We hold a seminar and two shows, a Championship Show in May and an Open Show in October. We hold our shows in Stoneleigh and Chieveley near Newbury. We also hold a rally/fun day in association with the Rhodesian Ridgeback Welfare Trust, this is an immensely popular event and is a lovely way to meet other Rhodesian Ridgeback owners and their dogs. If you are new to the breed, then coming to one of our events is the ideal opportunity to meet reputable and knowledgeable breeders. The Committee welcomes suggestions regarding any other pursuits that Rhodesian Ridgebacks and their owners have that could be included in the programme.
The club also produces two newsletters. The newsletters are packed full of interesting articles and extremely useful advice.
We have included a membership form below. To become a member, you need to be proposed and seconded by two full members. Please fill out the form below with details of your interest in the breed and a member of the committee will contact you to introduce you to the club.
